Men are more likely than women to die in motor vehicle crashes because they’re less likely to be buckled up. Of the 23 black men aged 15-34 killed in motor vehicle crashes in Cuyahoga County from 2004-2009, none were buckled up.
Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of traumatic brain injury. Brain injury can change your life in dramatic ways. It can affect your ability to think, read, work, or talk. It changes who you are and your relationships with the people in your life.
So buckle up. Protect your brain, protect your body.
